Currently at a 20% chance over 5 days. I expect we will see this percentage go up over the next few days as it pushes WNW toward the Antilles. Now once near the Caribbean’s front door, it will be interesting. Most modeling weakens this wave, but if it can get its wheels, it could become even more interesting. Tracks currently do support a Westward MDR run into the Caribbean for now. Once in, then based on its condition, we could see a potential pull more NW toward the Gulf. Lots of real estate to cover no doubt, but this wave could be fun to watch. For now, we should keep a close eye on this potential gamer.
We could also see another blob pop up off the East Coast over the next few days. Modeling supports lots of energy building that could have a chance of tightening up.
Tropical Storm Don should complete his loop and head out to sea. Stay tuned.
