I92 is starting to pull out of the Bay of Campeche and should start its journey across the Gulf later today through Saturday.
Models are more in line now with a weak system bringing lots of rain and gusty winds to the Gulf coast this weekend.
Expected landfall is late Saturday in Louisiana and then pulling eastward Sunday – Monday across Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and the Carolinas before reaching the Atlantic.
Overall, the entire Gulf Coast from Louisiana to Florida could feel the effects of I92. Severe storms, along with bands of rain and gusty winds, should also be expected.
