All in all, the tropics have been pretty tame for the last few days, and they’re expected to remain that way (more or less) for the coming days.
Our MJO forecast continues to indicate calmer conditions in the Gulf and Caribbean regions for the next week or so, but there is a slight chance to see some energy build in these areas towards the last week of June. (Orange=Dry / Green=Wet)
Models are faintly sniffing some possible moisture building in these two areas and possibly moving along into the southwest Gulf towards the end of June.
Again, these are regular hot spots in June, so seeing energy build in these areas is quite normal, so don’t panic.
